Our 2010 Gawai Festival Celebration

I know this happened 2 years back (hope it is not too late to share it)..but i wanna share it to all of u how we celebrate our Harvest Festival at our longhouse. The pictures were taken on May 31st 2010. And...before i move on, i just want to apologize for my grammar mistakes in my writing..haha..need to improve my English language...so...err..ENJOY!

huh?? what r they doing??

guess what is this..? its chicken feet..believe me..(u really believe me???)

This is my uncle, my mom's younger brother. Showing off the "chicken" leg..lol..let's see what are they going to do with all those parts, the legs, the head and so on. ok..HERE WE GO!

FIRST, they have to burn it (burn it?..whatever..) and scrap off all the fur and the outer layer of the "chicken" skin...like pic below...lol..again plz forgive my english..

u can see the colour..it's brown..wait for a moment and they r ready to be eaten..yum yum!

LOOK!! almost done! at this moment..u can smell the aroma the whole longhouse...will attract all the members of the longhouse...lol..(plz wipe ur drool :p)

some will be cooked in the bamboo..that is what we call as "pansuh"...for those who never try this u should try it...
